COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE

C.S.A ( Community Supported Agriculture)

Welcome To The Eden Springs Farm CSA Family. Thank you for joining us and supporting the Farm. As you are aware, this is a very EXCITING time for us as this upcoming year will be our first year farming this land. Although we are no stranger to growing our own food, this is our first time growing tons of food for so many people.
We’ve created this CSA agreement to clarify our relationship with our customers. We would like for all of our members to read the CSA agreement, print it out, sign it and return it with your order form. Electronic signatures are also accepted via email.
Customers purchase shares in the farm, and in return receive produce either weekly or bi-weekly, picked fresh that day.  By joining our CSA you share all the rewards and some of the risks of the season.  In general though, shares include slightly more produce than you’d get at the farmer’s market for the money.  In the event of failure of specific crops, we will just give you more of other items.  In the event of more widespread failures, we may substitute non-produce items.  For example, members may receive honey, dried legumes, bunches of flowers, farm fresh eggs, or raw milk from our beautiful Jersey Cows.  This may or may not be feasible depending on the season.  When we have an overabundance of anything, we also give Extra to the CSA members, though we try not to overload you on any one type of produce.  While we have no intention on purchasing outside produce to fill our shares, it may be an option if another organic grower is growing something that failed for us.

All of our produce is Organically Grown from Non GMO, Heirloom variety seeds.  Crops you can expect are found on the crop list (What's Growing) tab of our website.
We will also sell produce at various farmers’ markets and occasionally wholesale.  While we technically try to balance priority for produce delivery to all of our outlets so that we can meet our bills, the CSA gets slightly more priority.  Don’t be alarmed if you come to market and see some item that isn’t in your share.  It probably just means there wasn’t a reasonable amount to go around to all of our members, or it came into maturity at the wrong time.   And don’t worry that you’ll wind up with 10 pounds of tomatoes in your shares if that is our most abundant crop.  We try to include some sort of root vegetable, a fresh herb, greens, salad mix, some sort of allium crop, and anything else that might be in season each week.  The volume and weight vary a lot. In the spring, shares have large volume and lower weight, and at the peak of summer it is usually lower volume and heavier weight.
You are responsible for picking up your produce or finding a substitute.  If you are running late, please call us at 470-485-2483 so that we can make arrangements for same day pick-up or please email us as early as possible. Most Pick ups will be at the farm between 4:00-6:30 pm unless otherwise noted.  If you wish to change your pick-up or drop-off location, let us know at least 2 days ahead of time.  We cannot accommodate this on a weekly basis however, we will try to be of assistance.  If your share isn’t picked up, it more than likely will be donated to the last member who shows up, our workers, or the local food pantry.  In other words, it is often not available the next day.
Membership shares are sold in advance, which helps to cover our initial costs of seed, labor, and equipment.  Because we are celebrating our first year as a CSA Farm, The cost for a full share is only $300, including the deposit.  Half shares are $180 including deposit.  The extra $30 in the half share is to cover extra processing costs, and the fact that you may receive some extra produce in your share. For example, if we have an abundance of broccoli that week, we will pass some of that bountiful harvest along to you!
To complete your CSA Membership, we are happy to take the payment in full via Paypal, Cash App, or Square. If you are paying in installments, there is a $50 deposit for full shares and a $25 deposit for half shares and there will be 3 remaining installments. Regardless of the date a membership is signed, all installments must be paid in full by June 1st.
CSA Memberships and Deposits are non-refundable. The funds are often utilized immediately for seed, labor cost, & etc.
The best way to reach us is by email:  edenspringsfarm19@gmail.com.  I have personally ruined several phones trying to answer them while my hands were dripping with water.  The exception is during CSA pick-ups  where the best number to call us is 470-485-2483
We communicate by email.  If this doesn’t work for you, let us know.  We try to send out a weekly update of what you are getting in the share along with a little farm news.
We thank you again for all of your support and for allowing us to provide the healthiest of foods to you and your family!
